At Servis, we are proud to join the global movement to raise awareness and encourage action towards better physical and mental well-being for men. Men's Health Week is an important event that takes place every year, dedicated to raising awareness about health challenges faced by men and promoting strategies for better physical and mental well-being.
According to the Mental Health Foundation, about 1 in 8 men have mental health illnesses such as anxiety, stress, or depression. These conditions can be caused by various factors, including work-related stress, money problems, social isolation, and relationship problems. When left untreated, these conditions can worsen and be harmful to those affected. In the United Kingdom, 3 out of 4 suicides are men, and suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 45.
Men's Health Week is organized by the Men's Health Forum, a charity that focuses on improving the health of men and boys in England, Wales, and Scotland. The event aims to raise awareness of preventable health problems that disproportionately affect men and encourage them to address their issues. This year, Men's Health Week takes place from June 12 to June 18.
The Men's Health Forum encourages men to talk about their feelings, reach out for support, and take care of their mental health during these challenging times.
There are many ways to get involved in Men's Health Week. You can organize an event in your community, share information and resources on social media, or simply talk to the men in your life about their health. You can also check out the Men's Health Forum website for more information, support, and downloadable materials.
At Servis, we believe that everyone deserves to live a healthy and happy life, and we are committed to supporting Men's Health Week and the Men's Health Forum. We encourage everyone to get involved and work together to create a healthier and happier future for men everywhere.
